“Death”
a five lettered word
That grips you tight with all its might
Snatching you away from the realm of light,
Thrusting you into a world of fright.
Be it loved ones or friends,
You are shocked to see their world coming to an end.
You are forced to let go,
You are forced to blink hard and let the tears fall.
Strange are the ways of this world,
Where a lively voice is curbed by the knell of death
Where a mother weeps in silence
Impossible to console.
For the death of her child whom she had borne.
Where friends are shocked too stunned
to speak
Where for many right then the future looks bleak.
But God is there to lay on our shoulders
His comforting hands,
Just like the waves of the sea
Wash upon the sands. |
